Críticas del Festival Internacional de Cine de Cleveland / Comments from Cleveland International Film Festival

1. "This is a really solid film about a theatrical school in Africa. Watching the crossing of cultures and generations is fascinating, and the way you’ve introduced us to the school, the children and their parents is compelling and interesting. The camerawork is excellent, the editing is crisp and error-free, and the pacing of the film is top-notch. The subtitling was really well done, and the sound quality is excellent".

2. "A beautiful story.  This was a very solid film with excellent camera work.  I enjoyed the “story” woven through the film, it made it more of a narrative but didn’t detract from the overall cohesion of the film.  Watching the kids act was a joy.  Even the more artistically shot scenes (the slow motion, the blurring) are appropriate and not overdone.  It’s an uplifting movie, you really showed a sense of joy and hope in this film.   Well done".

3. "This short documentary about teaching theater to teenagers in a small town in Senegal is charming.  The discussions with the students about the benefits of participating in theater are interesting and cause the viewer to seek answers to this question on a broader scale. The students are also very likable and their personalities are developed well by the film maker.  The scenes of Senegal both rural and urban are fascinating".
